I'm back, I'm fat and it's not here to stay!

No really, I'm serious this time... yeah yeah, I know I've said that before blah blah blah.... work with me people!  You all know losing weight isn't easy and this past year has been a whirlwind of changes, not leaving much time for concentrating on my own health.  Here's the deal... ideally I'd like to lose 50 pounds in 3 months.  Realistically it'll probably be more like 6 months.  Healthy eating, super support from my friends, near and far and I think know it can be done! They've been throwing emails at us left & right at work about exercise classes, Weight Watchers, and other healthy nonsense.  So when they sent an email about a 10 week 2 person team "get fit challenge" today, I sprang into action - and there are PRIZES!!!  I know I know, losing weight and being healthy should be enough of an incentive to get my fat ass off the couch... chya right. So here we go folks... the challenge officially starts January 7th but I'm starting ea

**WARNING**

Eating healthy and excercising is bad for your health!  No really it is... it must be, why else would I fall off the wagon so much?  Ugh.  Well here we are again... seems like I spend most my time starting over than I do sticking with it.  It's a mindset, it really is - so does that make me a weak person since I fail so many times trying to lose weight?  Or do i just let me heart rule my head more than I should?  I can't help it, I LOVE to eat... food is my crack.  Only difference is, you need food to survive - crack, not so much. Here we go again, weighing in tomorrow and riding to Dukan wave through Labor Day.  That's my new tactic... 26 days of dieting, 4 days of just living and not over concentrating it.

How Exciting!!

Can I get a WOOT!?  At least I think we need a woot... Training for the new job has taken me from home on the weekdays for a whole month!  During that month I had decided to concentrate on eating better, actually following my diet plan and exercising more since the hotel has a "fitness center".  Week one I lost 6 pounds!  Week two I didn't go up or down... Week three, I didn't even bother to seriously weigh myself because I'd been sick most that week and nothing had been agreeing with tum tum.  So here we are end of week four - the LAST DAY to be exact!  Earlier this week after coming back from lunch a classmate went out of her way, came over to see me and said "I don't know if you've been trying but you look like you've been losing weight!"  And she was excited for me!  How exciting is that?  How encouraging is that!?  She made my day!  Not to mention the fact that even Roy could tell my butt and my mid section looks smaller too!  So can I

Put Yer Dukes Up!

So, yeah… I joined Weight Watchers in January.   Why didn’t you all tell me they changed their program?!   It’s the same concept, except you’re eating more protein and less carbs.   LESS CARBS!?   Are you serious!?   Uhhh yeah they were.   Now it wasn’t totally horrible because you could still eat them, they just counted higher in the point system.   Which I suppose wasn’t all that horrible either since I was allowed a bazillion points.   But I just wasn’t feeling it… I tried following it; I did follow it, for a couple weeks… maybe 3 or 4.   I suppose I could have just gone back to the old program on my own, after all I do still have the old “point’s calculator” but you know what – after 3-4 weeks of little to no success I said screw it!   I had adopted a new theory… that I was going to be happy!   If that meant having a pizza over a salad then so be it!   Not that I have anything against salads, I LOVE them… but stick a pizza & a salad in front of me and see which one get’s ea

Happy New Year!

So there I was plugging along with the weight loss plan… doing well, then all of a sudden WHAMMO, the holidays hit.   My philosophy toward this past holiday season was, “Eat whatever the hell I want & deal with it later.”   Whoops… another poor decision made by my alter ego, Honey Summers.   If you follow along you may remember I was down 20 pounds! 20 freaking pounds – WOOT!   Hold the woot… I gained 12 back… crap.   Well ya know what, so what… I’m not going to feel one bit guilty about it, I’m not going to beat myself up over it… I had a nice holiday, enjoyed some awesome food (and choked down some not so awesome) and I loved it!   I’ve never felt guilty about not doing the laundry, so I’m not going to feel guilty about this either… I’ll just take care of it now. To start the New Year off, as I do most new years, I’ve joined Weight Watchers again!   It’s different… it’s through my employer #1 and #2 the point system has changed.   Our official first weigh in is next Thursday so w
