It's a SNAP...

... SNAP Fitness that is!

Joining a gym is something I've been wanting to do for the longest time but always had a reason, or excuse if you will... probably more reason than excuse though.  Well with our recent move to Northern MI, I am closer to family thus I have someone (many someone's if need be) that will watch the kids while I get my sweat on!  My wonderful cousin Krista has been working out and eating all healthy like for probably a year or so and is rockin it out on weight loss - you go girl!  I know she's always had good things to say about SNAP Fitness so I thought now was the time to step it up, they're open 24/7, no contracts and reasonably priced - one of the several reasons I had yet joined before.  Then there's Kasey, she's been rocking it out too this year with getting all healthy... she has equipment at home which would be my ideal set up but I think we all know I have no will power and I need to have my ass drug to the gym or it ain't happening.  She's getting a "you go girl" too!  I have such a wonderful support system that has been there for me, ups and downs and all arounds during this horrendous process... and would you believe, they're EVERYWHERE!  Here in Michigan, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Tennesee, Ohio, Florida and I bet that chickadee in Utah is a proud supporter too!  I am soooo blessed!

The first step is the hardest, but I did it... and because of my schedule, my work outs are either before the butt crack of dawn or past my bed time.  Yesterday was day one of working out... I didn't over do it, but I sure worked up a sweat... and even with easing into it I burned over 400 calories and that's 400 more than I would have before.  Today I mixed it up a bit and did some weight machines too... I REALLY liked those!!  I might have to add more time to my workout to squeeze more of those in!

  1. Weight training is excellent to start. actually better than cardio because muscle burns more calories when you are at rest! I was hold you should do 5 days a week. 3 weight and 2 cardio.

  2. Keep up the good work. It seems like your recent move was the best thing that could have happened to you for many reasons.
